Ladder League 2025

 

The Ladder League resumes on Monday, 5th May 2025. There is a sign-up sheet in the Clubhouse.

  • You may challenge any of the next 8 players ahead of you on the ladder.  Games can be played on any day or time as arranged between the two players.

  • If you win you change positions with them. If they are unable to play the match within 7 days, you will be awarded a walk over, and can change positions.

  • Players are to agree between themselves the number of ends (min 10, max 21), and woods (2, 3 or 4) to be used for each match.  1 on first two ends.  If no agreement, then games must be played with the default arrangement of 13 ends with 4 woods.

  • If scores are level at the end of the game, an extra end is to be played.

  • Players at no. 1 & 2 can challenge any player they wish, but if they lose they change positions with them.


Starting places (May) will be by random selection.  Additional players may join at any point in the season - starting on the bottom rung of the ladder.

Current Standings

 

The Ladder League is, quintessentially, a Clubhouse based competition - challenge matches are played on the Green and the 'Ladder' on the notice board in the Clubhouse is updated by the players to reflect the outcome on the match. Accordingly, the definitive ladder positions those shown in the Clubhouse.

Periodic dated snapshots of the ladder positions are posted on the website to share the state of play beyond the Clubhouse walls:

DIY Update

 

You can update the Ladder League positions displayed online for yourself - if you so wish:

​

  • Click to update the Ladder League positions - this will open the displayed ladder in Google Sheets in a new tab.

  • To swap the positions of two people on the ladder, enter the new position numbers of the player you wish to swap and sort the table by 'Position'.

  • To add a new player to the bottom of the ladder, insert a new row at the end of the list, add the new position number and enter the player's name.

  • When you've completed your updates, enter the current date  in the bottom row and close the Google Sheets tab.

 

Refresh this page to view the updated Ladder - your changes won't become visible until you update this page and you may need to refresh the page more than once before they do become visible.
