Charity Support

The club supported charity for 2026 is the Montgomeryshire Emergency Doctors. Monies raised though our In-House Competitions and other events will be donated to this cause at the end of the season.
Following the decision taken at the 2025 AGM for the club to support a charity, the committee agreed that one of the following charities should be selected by our members for 2026:

-
The Local Warm Hwb - The local drop centre who welcome all ages to chat, socialise, get a warm drink and a light meal at the Town Hall in Welshpool on Tuesday and Thursday.
-
The Welshpool Food Bank - Money raised would be donated to our local food bank.
-
Marie Curie - A charity who support families dealing with end of life care in the local area.
-
Montgomeryshire Emergency Doctors - A vital service for remote communities like ours. (With the imminent closure of the Wales Air Ambulance from Welshpool, the MED has be chosen as a logical replacement.)
-
Severn Hospice - Our local hospice, who provide free care and support to families who are living with an incurable illness .
-
Macmillan Cancer Support - A charity who support and assist those families who have been touched by cancer.
The Montgomeryshire Emergency Doctors received a unanimous vote from members.
